Booking online or by telephone

Online. Appointments can be booked at any time on Doctolib, the platform most French practitioners use. Its interface is in French: choose Première consultation (first consultation) as the reason for the visit, then a date and time. A confirmation and a reminder follow by email or text message.

By telephone, in English. Call 01 46 40 01 02, or +33 1 46 40 01 02 from abroad, during opening hours: Monday to Thursday 9:00–14:00 and 15:00–19:30, Friday 9:00–14:00 and 15:00–18:00. The secretariat books in English and can answer questions about the practice and access.

By email. For non-urgent questions, or to plan a first visit around a trip to Paris, write to contact@drcuriel.com. Email suits administrative matters; clinical questions are best discussed at the practice.

Your first visit, step by step

1. Arrival

   The secretariat registers your details, your carte Vitale if you have one and your insurance information.

2. Examination and imaging

   Dr Curiel listens to what brings you, examines teeth, jaws and profile, and takes radiographs, photographs and a digital impression when needed.

3. Diagnosis and options

   The techniques possible for your case, with their duration, constraints and cost: lingual braces, clear aligners or conventional braces.

4. Written quote

   You leave with an itemised quote and treatment plan to consider at home; nothing starts before your agreement. See fees and insurance.

What to bring

• Identification and your carte Vitale, if you have one.
• Mutuelle card or international insurance details.
• Recent radiographs, dental records or a referral letter, if you have them.
• For a child or teenager, a parent or legal guardian must be present.

Emergencies during treatment

True orthodontic emergencies are rare. The usual problems are a loose bracket, a wire end that irritates the cheek or a lost aligner: uncomfortable, not dangerous, but best dealt with quickly so that treatment stays on schedule. Call the practice during opening hours; you will be seen as soon as possible, usually within a few days, and orthodontic wax over a rough spot relieves irritation meanwhile. Outside opening hours, send an email; it is read on the next working day. Pain, swelling or trauma unrelated to the appliance should be seen by a dentist or an emergency service.

Cancellations and changes

If you cannot keep an appointment, please give at least 48 hours’ notice, by telephone or through Doctolib, so that the time can be offered to another patient. Adjustment visits are planned every 6 to 8 weeks for fixed braces, and a missed visit lengthens your own treatment. If you will be abroad for a long period, tell Dr Curiel in advance so that the appliance can be prepared.
